I was the owner of the first Venture X in Dallas, but within a year and a half I’d doubled the size of my workspace and there were 10 other locations in the area. We came at a stage when co-working was transitioning from just freelancers to corporations as well. With that, there was a need for co-working spaces, not just for tech companies and startups, but for everyone. We took the traditional office spaces and the new, hip and cool office spaces and combined them to build a workspace that is professional, but not rigid at the same time. I was able to customise the amenities available at my Venture X location to satisfy the unique needs of my members. That’s one of the main ways my co-working space has been able to set itself apart from the competition. We now have a lot of different offerings based on our customer needs, such as podcast and video studios, nap rooms, large training rooms with movable walls and custom-designed offices. As of right now, all of my larger offices are occupied and co-working space usage is strong and steady. The support of Venture X management was instrumental in getting me to this point, but I feel comfortable that I’ve got things handled from here.
