Rohan was founded in the early 1970s in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales by husband and wife team Paul and Sarah Howcroft. Dissatisfied with the poor clothing then available to keen outdoors people and the new breed of alpine climbers they took a radical and visionary approach.

Rohan is regarded as the prime innovator in the concept of travel clothing – championing the usefulness of such outdoor requirements as lightness, low bulk, fast drying and rated protection as equally useful for the globetrotting journalist as for the adventurous holidaymaker.

With over 50 outlets established throughout the UK, Rohan Designs Limited has identified many more opportunities to open Rohan retail outlets. The Franchise Package

The Opportunity

The Franchisor, from their experience, determines the balance of stock items on display in each retail premises. The stockholding will relate to the type and size of premises in question. The bespoke software system provides the Franchisor with complete knowledge of all transactions in real time.

As a consequence, the sale of each item is automatically deducted from stock and a replacement order for all sold items is received daily into the Milton Keynes head office. Stock items are picked from the warehouse and dispatched to each retail outlet on a daily basis.

The sales revenue from the daily takings is paid directly into the Franchisor’s bank. The Franchise Owner on a monthly basis has paid into their own bank – their appropriate profit margin which is 42.5% of total sales revenue net of VAT ion clothing and 25% of sales revenue on all other items..
