Hotel Express International (HEI), founded in 1987, is the world's leading global hotel discount program. We have a distributor network with around 50 national offices worldwide. We have agreements with more than 4,000 hotels in 145 countries worldwide, all giving our members 50% discount off rack rates subject to expected availability.

Hotel Express International memberships are sold and maintained via independent national or regional sales offices, through telemarketing, direct mail, business meetings and special marketing initiatives. The annual membership fee, while varying from country to country, is approximately €170 + VAT. With sufficient funding and efforts the right distributors can develop a profitable, long-term business. So popular has the HEI product been with our members that many of them have become distributors themselves.

Our customers are frequent travelers, mostly from small and medium sized companies. The memberships sold by our distributors consist of an embossed, personal Hotel Express card valid for one year, and a hotel directory. Our distributors also provide a free reservation service for travel abroad for their members, using our dedicated software. The quality of service offered results in an exceptionally high renewal rate of 65% to 90% in different countries. This level of repeat business is the safety factor in our program, and one of the best reasons to join. You really can build up a long term business when you have a stream of satisfied customers coming back for more.

Using our cheaper no reservation service silver card option you can also do deals with large organizations and many of our distributors work with many of the best known banks, airlines and multinational companies.

We are now offering exclusive, master licenses for distributors in several countries and are also looking for distributors in Ireland. A distributor operates as a franchisee, with memberships being sold on a royalty basis on behalf of HEI.

Opportunities in the UK and Ireland

In Ireland we are looking for distributors. We offer two kinds of distributorships in Ireland – Exclusive and Non-Exclusive.

The start-up cost for a non-exclusive distributor in Ireland is only €1,200 (plus shipment costs) and includes your own personal Hotel Express membership and sales material. The non-exclusive agency is specifically designed for those who wish to sell this product in addition to other products that they might sell and also for those who wish to test their ability to sell the product before committing to an Exclusive agency.

Whilst for an Exclusive agent the cost is as little as €25,000 and this includes 30 membership units, sales material, sales training, and access to our sales helpline - everything you need to get started, all you need to do is focus on sales. As an exclusive agent you will own the exclusive distribution rights for an area of your choice and can appoint sub-agents.

• With 500 sales in year one an Exclusive agent will generate a gross profit of €31,000 with little overhead.
• Assuming a conservative renewal rate of 65% and a further 500 sales, year two will generate a gross profit of €51,000.
• Appoint three further sales people and assume they sell 400 memberships each in years one and two, pay them on commission and as an Exclusive agent your returns will be €50,000 in year one and €82,500 in year two. 

Opportunities in the rest of the world

We are also offering exclusive, master licenses for distributors in several other countries (€20,000-100,000 for exclusive master license). A distributor operates as a franchisee, with memberships being sold on a royalty basis on behalf of HEI. As an exclusive agent you can own the rights for 1 or more countries. This will allow you to set up your own sales network with either sub distributors or sales people. You will run all aspects of Hotel Express International within your territory.
