John Green gives advice to Franchisors

In this video, Franchise Direct's Lillie Burroughs speaks with John Green who is a member of the Irish Franchise Association. This interview was conducted in August 2008, when John was Chairman of the IFA. John has since retired as Chairman of the Association after a very prolific term of office which spanned a full decade but has remained on the Board of Directors. The new Chairman is David Killeen.
John gives advice on businesses thinking about franchising. John advises that you pilot the franchise package before official roll out of the opportunity and to develop the training, operationg, branding, financials and trademarking etc. to offer new franchisees an attractive and well developed franchise package. Franchising a business can cost between €50-70,000 and John believes that the best advice is to create the franchise opportunity properly from the outset to avoid any complications further on down the line.
John believes that the Irish franchise industry will develop over the coming years and believes in particular the the service industry along with senior care and DIY will grow.
