Jeanne speaks about how the Irish legal system covers the franchise industry including the rights of the franchisee, and issues surrounding trademark registration. Jeanne also offers some advice on researching a franchise prior to signing the franchise agreement such as exit options. Jeanne also recommends consulting with a good accountant to look into the figures provided by the franchisor to be able to work out a realistic budget, as well as consulting with a good solicitor.

Jeanne advises that, although rare, some franchisors can oversell their product and recommends that if it's too good to be true, it probably is!
