Lille Burroughs and the Franchise Direct team attended the 2008 IFA Awards and interviewed John Green, the then Chairman of the IFA.

John believes that the Awards are a valuable opportunity to recognise the importance of the work carried out by franchisors and franchisees across Ireland.

The Irish Franchise Association was founded in 1983 and today there are in excess of 26,000 people in Ireland employed directly in the franchise industry.

Lillie also speaks to Orna Stoakes of Ulster Bank who are directly involved in financing franchise start ups across Ireland. Orna sees franchising as an evolution of business and believes that franchising has developed to "cross all breathes of life at this stage".
