Following the peak of the 1990s and early 2000s, the Irish property market has taken a dip but is now beginning to stabilise. Whilst young couples may find it difficult to gain mortgage approval during the current credit crunch, this means that the Letting industry is really taking off. 

According to daft.ie, the total number of properties available to rent at any one time has risen steadily over the last two years. On August 1st 2007, there were 6,200 properties available to rent nationwide. On August 1st 2009, there were 23,400 properties to rent, almost four times as many.
