I wanted to comment on the great treatment I received from the set-up team who came to a hot and miserable Chicago this last week and weekend. Glen Smith was magnificent in how well he pulled the store together for me. He went right to work as soon as he arrived and when the production table went up, I knew that I would be up and running soon. Glen set up the network for me and never complained even though I was “helping him”. Glen will always be welcome at my store. Bill Stolic from Florida Graphic Supply helped me better understand the Roland I have. I was very impressed with Bill’s knowledge and professionalism. Having Bill participate in the set-up will prove to be critical to letting me enjoy a smooth start. So I think I owe SIGN*A*RAMA a great deal in getting me up to the standards of a successful franchise by sending these great guys. Thank you.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for making Aaron available to us on Tuesday. We have a new designer and have been having problems with our plotter settings, which is now corrected, but Aaron also taught us how to laminate and contour cut on the Roland for a job we had to have completed that same day. We were all amazed at some of the tricks and tools Aaron demonstrated in Flexi – our designer was extremely impressed! Aaron always spends time with me going over P & L’s, etc., and we spent some time on that Tuesday. According to Aaron, we have a “letter perfect” P & L! And as always, we go over basically all aspects of our store’s operation. I always gain so much from those conversations. Aaron has been my “rock” since we purchased the store 6 years ago. Please know that his time, experience and support are very, very much appreciated. We also received a very informative visit from Mark Zimmerman, our new Regional VP, this morning. As a result, we are stepping back and restructuring our roles in the store in an effort to increase sales volume and manage production more efficiently. After speaking with both Aaron and Mark,we are also moving up our target date to transition to SignVox. I think the suggestion to purchase an ipad for outside sales is a “must do”, and as budget allows, a large flat screen for the design/production area. It was truly an amazing, rejuvenating morning. Again, please know how thankful Alan and I are to have had these opportunities.ortunities.

I don’t want to let a second tick by without communicating how much we appreciate you & UFG sending in Nic Mayo to assist us as we searched for a new Art Dept. / Production Manager. As you know, our business model is unique to the system and it takes the right individual to come in & hit the ground running. Nic made an immediate impact in our operation. He interacted positively with our staff, zeroed in on problem production areas, and coached our staff without them ever feeling like ‘the guy from corporate is too good for us’. It takes a special person to make a positive impact on every single person in an operation and Nic did just that. Honestly, it was sad to see him go today.

For the week of 1-7 thru 1-11, Nic Mayo’s presence was very beneficial. I was shown and explained some tips to speed up production which has already helped me this week. We also discussed tips on more effective time management techniques. Another thing that has come of this is the importance of sketches in the job boxes which does help out on my end tremendously. I am looking forward to the time I will spend in the Raleigh store to help me better understand the substrates and their uses as well as learn more tips from the other production people to help in my own growth. Plus the chance to go on a few installs will be great as it will make me better understand what I can do on the production end to make the install go faster and smoother. Overall this was an informative week that has helped raise morale and to educate me on things to work toward.

Hi Dan, I am the new owner of the Singarama on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, NC. We had a major issue yesterday when we could not get our Mutoh printer to work. We had Time Warner Cable (TWC) out here the day before with a different issue and thought that they had fixed it, but after they left, we had a bigger problem that caused some major network issues. We contacted Nic Mayo, and he came out first thing in the morning, got on the phone with TWC and had the problem fixed within the hour! My designer had spent more than three hours the previous afternoon on the phone with TWC and got no where with them. I just wanted to thank Nic for all he has done for us and continues to do. Whenever we have exhausted all of our efforts on issues, its Nic to the rescue! Nic exemplifies the utmost in professionalism and never lets us down! Please make sure that Nic knows how much we appreciate him.
