With 3 big and very active dogs it is often difficult to get friends or family to dog sit. In 2011 we were really delighted to discover Pet Sitters Ireland. Our dogs are well trained but nonetheless most people are intimidated when they meet all 3 together for the first time. That wasn’t the case at our first meet and greet with Mike. We instructed him in advance how to behave at first meeting. Mike was very confident and did exactly as we said. 5 years later Mike and all 3 dogs are real friends. We take a number of short breaks away each year and generally a 4 week summer break. As our daughter generally steps in at weekends, we would normally book Pet Sitters Ireland for Monday to Friday for each of those weeks. While we were away on one 4 week trip there was a family medical emergency and our daughter could not look after the dogs. We contacted Mike, and without any hesitation he stepped in telling us to look after the family issue. That’s a service you cannot buy. It is more akin to a friendly relationship. While this is Kate and Mike’s business I think they really do it out of love of pets. Thanks guys!

We travel for many weeks every year and always come home to a happy menagerie thanks to the care of Pet Sitters Ireland. 12 year old Milo, a chocolate labrador, is taken on his favourite walks twice a day and once, last year, to the Vet, after our Pet Sitter noticed a cut on his paw. It's no easy feat getting a blood pressure pill into Shoga, a 16 year old Bengal cat, but our Pet Sitter managed easily and had funny stories to tell about the antics of our kitten Yuki, also Bengal and a lunatic. Mike and Judith called and consoled me more than once while I cried down the phone at the loss of Webster, a magical 21 year old black cat. Pet Sitters Ireland has fantastic high tech systems like GPS tracking of their sitters, and an online daily pet care journal, but I recommend them most of all because they’re pet lovers, like us.

"I have found Pet Sitters Ireland great in helping me look after my dogs and cats. Due to working long hours and recent ill health regular walks were not on the cards and my dogs were frustrated. Since they are receiving a mid day visit and walk they are happier and more relaxed. I also make use of the service when away on holiday to have someone come and look in on the cats and feed them as they find kennel life very stressful. So all round my animals are happy and relaxed and I have peace of mind."
