Start your own accountancy practice with a franchise from TaxAssist Accountants
TaxAssist Accountants is the only network of accountants in Ireland specifically servicing the small business market. Brought to Ireland in 2009 by accountants Greg Murphy and Roddy Comyn, the franchise has grown rapidly. In just under two years we have successfully opened 14 new shopfronts servicing over 1,000 clients with a combined fee bank of €1,000,000. We are currently expanding and looking for franchisees across Ireland.

We focus on a lucrative market that is largely untapped by the more traditional accountancy practices which tend to go for larger business with higher fees, but more complicated work. We are stepping away from tradition by operating from shopfronts and focusing on marketing and its working. We provide our business owners with first-rate support and encouragement to help them become successful, starting with a fully comprehensive 5-week initial training course provided in house at our support centre in Dublin. TaxAssist Accountants pays for all meals, accommodation etc.
What can be achieved?
Let’s consider what can be achieved in reality. As of June 2011, our first franchisees have all hit and in some cases exceeded their year one target of 75 clients and a fee bank of €100,000 We do not pretend that this is easily achieved – it required real effort and enthusiastic following of our business model – but that level of success is being achieved despite the difficult economic circumstances. After five years, depending on your own ambitions, it should be possible to aim for 500+ clients with a fee bank of over €500,000. Full business planning support is provided to help you gain an understanding of what could be achievable for you.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for fully qualified accountants with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience. You do not have to come from a practice background in fact the majority of our Accountants did not. You will however need to be a self-starter with good communication skills and plenty of energy.
Financial Information – the franchise package
The franchise fee is €39,450 + VAT. The franchise fee includes an exclusive territory, licence fee, a fully configured laptop and IT software, training fees, our Nurture Programme that helps you to maximise your activities and kick-start your business, operations manuals, promotional material and stationery, an accountancy and tax helpline and national marketing amongst many other things. We also provide 25 free client leads from our lead generation providers and look to arrange membership of a networking organisation wherever possible, simply to help you raise awareness of your business in the area.
